Fully Equipped Self-Catering Accommodation Review

During the planning process for Pringle Farm, it was a priority to ensure our self-catering accommodation included fully equipped kitchens. By bringing a homely feel to our barns, not only are the kitchens modern and stylish, but they hold everything you could possibly need to cook a delicious meal. Last weekend we hosted a guest who was overwhelmed by the facilities and finer details of our Aintree barn and – as an avid cook – made the most of Pringle Farm’s kitchen.

Celebrating their anniversary, Sarah and her husband arrived at Pringle Farm for a romantic staycation. From the moment they stepped into the room, they were pleasantly surprised by the stunning views from Aintree and complimentary hamper on offer:

“The hamper upon arrival was great, everything included such as the bread and fruit was fantastic quality and the little butters, milk and coffees were a lovely touch. Especially in the good weather, we really enjoyed sitting on our spacious terrace with a glass of wine and admiring the views.”

As a couple that would ordinarily travel abroad to celebrate their anniversary, travelling restrictions encouraged them to take a staycation and enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside – which is not available to them at home. Self-catering options were at the top of their list when searching for a getaway, with the plan in mind to have a relaxed night in with a home-made Sunday Dinner:

“We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen to make our roast dinner. I have stayed in self-catering accommodation before and love that your time is your own, but none have been anywhere near as equipped as Pringle Farm. After enjoying our meal, we relaxed with the Smart TV and brought our Amazon Fire Stick to watch our favourite programmes.”

The beauty of Pringle Farm is in our versatility, with the choice of cooking in the barns or numerous pubs and restaurants nearby for a quality meal out. Sarah took advantage of this by visiting the highly recommended ‘Three Tuns of Fen Drayton’ pub and restaurant, a short distance from Pringle Farm. Opting for a steak dinner and their favourite desserts, the couple had the best of both worlds and were blown away by the quality of their meal:

Cambridgeshire Golf Club

As keen golfers, a key requirement for their staycation was a quality golf game. Pringle Farm has a wide variety of golf course in close proximity, with the couple choosing the ‘Cambridgeshire Golf Club’ to top off their already fantastic weekend away.

Sarah valued that every last detail was thought of in our rooms, from the hamper to the facilities and strong shower. We look forward to welcoming Sarah again and future guests that also wish to experience the ultimate self-catering experience.
