Just a few short miles from Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, Grafham Water, England’s third largest reservoir can be found nestled in 1500 acres of beautiful countryside. Grafham Water has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest for over 30 years. Their western end features a 280 acre nature reserve and is home to ancient woodlands, reed beds and important populations of several bird and amphibian species.
This reserve is a wonderful trout and predator fishing destination and, with a nine mile track, a great place to ride your bike or take a gentle stroll.
Activities available include fishing, cycling with optional bike hire, walking through nature trails, sailing and windsurfing. There are also children’s playgrounds, picnic areas and 2 cafes, making for a perfect family summer day out.
Above the fishing lodge, and with a large balcony area offering superb views across Grafham Water, you’ll also find the Harbour View Café Bar to enjoy food and refreshments next to Mander car park.
