Shuttleworth Drive in Air Shows

Cambridgeshire is home to some fantastic airfields for viewing incredible planes from history. With the season now in full flow, the Shuttleworth drive in air shows with continue on selected dates until Sunday 3rd October, each packed with entertainment for all. The air shows at Shuttleworth are a fantastic addition to a stay at The Yard at Pringle Farm, a collection of luxury self catering apartments in rural Cambridgeshire.

The Old Warden Aerodrome at Shuttleworth is home to vintage vehicles, motorcycles, and over 50 historic aircraft. In this rural setting with 60 acres of space, there are also other attractions such as their 19th century Swiss Garden, a rare example of the Regency landscape in a Swiss picturesque style, including thirteen listed structures, a woodland trail and even some roaming peacocks.

Shuttleworth’s 6 hangers are open to visitors daily, with an engineering workshop, café and gift shop available to take in the full experience.

Throughout these displays you can expect to enjoy a thrilling air display and ground activities to keep everyone entertained. Tours are also available around the infamous Shuttleworth House, a historic building designed by the prominent Victorian architect Henry Clutton.

• Saturday 14th August – Flying Circus
• Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th September – Vintage Weekend
• Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd October – Race Weekend
